In some places His identity has been changed. When you’re in witness protection the person gets a new name and a new identity. The identity of the Holy Spirit in some churches is changed. All He is, is a shout-fest and a song-fest, or the dim lights and smoke and a nice song with good singing. So the people can lift their hands and wave. Now, I’m not against worship but that’s not what the Holy Spirit was sent into the earth to do. The Holy Spirit has the power to heal a body, to give a person a new language, to deliver someone from the bondage of addiction or depression and a broken heart. That’s the Holy Spirit I know, and it’s time the church and the world begin to see Him as He really is.

Acts 1: 4-5, “And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” He’s talking to them about the Holy Spirit and they’re talking to him about Israel. He told them it wasn’t for them to know the times and the seasons.

Verse 8 says, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” The word ‘power’ is strength, power, and ability. It is the Greek word dunamis, which is miraculous working power. What is this power? It’s the power of conception and the power of resurrection.

In Luke 1:35, “The angel answered and said, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.’”

The Holy Spirit is the power of the Highest. The Holy Spirit is the one, that when He overshadows, He births things. A dry womb of a virgin gets pregnant, which the power of the Highest overshadows. The Holy Spirit is the power of conception and He’s the power of resurrection.
